The Heat’s On by Christy V.
An unexpected warm Spring day
While walking down the beach
After work she sees someone walking
It stops her flat when she realizes
They’re walking side by side
Nothing seems clever to say
But the presence of him
Seems just like a cool breeze
Just what she needed
Something about him
Familiar and strange
It’s if he came from a dream
His clothes fitted just right
A smile as if he knew her
She knew it wasn’t true
The heat was on
He was just a vision
That disappeared
