When I started reading the new nonfiction book release, WE NEED YOUR ART by Amie McNee @inspiredtowrite. I realized it could be a Comp Title cousin to my book, WRITING MATTERS AND SO DO.
While my book might need a new edition, since Kindle Vella has ended and I have learned more since publication, overall my book WRITING MATTERS AND SO DO YOU still has value that can be found useful and motivational that doesn’t change.
I finished reading (and journaling) Amie McNee’s new book WE NEED YOUR ART. She does an amazing job unlocking what creatives need to create and champion their artwork, including writing. The journaling prompts are the powerful element. I’ve written about 20 pages from all the prompts. I’ve seen how the prompts can help me move forward.
Amie shares a lot of what I believe in slightly different ways. We focus on what writers, and overall creatives, should do to take care of ourselves, and motivate ourselves, so we can keep making our art and sharing to the world. We can make a difference with our writing/art, for ourselves and others.
If you’ve read my book and Amie’s book, do you agree? Let us know. P.S. I think Emely Rumble @literapy_nyc’s upcoming book, BIBLIOTHERAPY IN THE BRONX, could work well together with these two.
