Many years ago I couldn’t tell you what
The spirit of Corpus Christi is
As I lived in different parts
While my heart lied in San Antonio
While that can be the case for a part
My heart lies in several places
Including within this city of Corpus Christi
It’s spirit thrives to aspire for something
Tapping into some originality with music
Creative work in each business
The community connected by support
We all strive to become the best of ourselves
This city and its people no matter if they
Live here or beyond, make me
Better than I could be
We’re still working
On our future
