I don’t know what draws me to them
Is it their short stature or small size?
Is it their personality that is perfect
For royalty and scenes on TV?
Is it because with kindness for you
They’re willing to pose for photos?
Here is a corgi who is near a laptop
What you don’t know, he’s an author!
There’s a notebook beside him to assist
He types his story when you’re away
He tells about his life with his human
That he’s adopted for his own good life
Walks for inspiration more than exercise
Treats for doing good all the time
Food at the right times, the human says
It’s the playtime with other dogs near and
Being near the human for companionship
This corgi has a lot to write about
While I continue to wish to have a corgi
I’m just imagining the perfect pup
